In July 2008 director Wakamatsu Koji came to Morioka to present his new film United Red Army at one of the local theaters. These photos were taken during the post-screening Q&A. We later heard that the local police also came to the screening in case any troublemakers were in attendance. I'm curious as to whether they were worried about trouble from right-wing nationalists or from Japan's largely invisible left-wing.
